Your organization might have some applications that send emails to your customers. It could be a WordPress website, a Magento store or it could be some custom application. It’s very likely that these applications are using SMTP or even worst, using an expensive external mail provider to send these emails.
SMTP is a protocol that allows applications to send emails to other applications, but to fight spams, it’s important to have a good reputation and to be able to send emails from a domain that you own.
To solve that issue, you usually need to have a dedicated email provider, which can get expensive. When doing so, you’re also losing a bit of control over your outgoing emails, not being able to see all the emails that are sent from your applications.
The main issue here is that I’ve often seen organizations having no strategy about their outgoing emails, which actually contain quite important transactional and private information about their customers. To improve the deliverability of your emails, and to improve the observability and control over outgoing mails from applications, we’ve decided at Luzid to use Microsoft 365 as our mail provider.
Instead of using this strategy only for us, we also decided to share the good stuff with you, so that you can use it for your own applications and help make the web a safer place, with less spam and more trust.
The Mail Adaptor is a 2-click setup to upgrade your SMTP applications to a better email experience, leveraging your Microsoft 365 account and mailboxes.
After the first setup, you’ll be able to send emails from your applications, just like before, but you’ll be able to access the outgoing emails and configure your data policies about them using Microsoft 365 and your mailboxes.
Try it out today 🚀 and let us know what you think!
We’re currently only supporting sending SMTP emails using your Microsoft 365 account, but we’re working on adding support for other providers, let us know what provide your using, we’ll be looking forward to hearing from you.
